The International Relations Office (IRO) of the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili serves as the gateway for fostering global academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and international partnerships. As UMA steadily expands its international profile, the IRO plays a vital role in strengthening the university’s presence in the global academic community, while ensuring an enriching international experience for students, faculty, and researchers.

The office is committed to building long-term collaborations with universities, research institutes, and international organizations worldwide, while providing full support to foreign students and scholars who choose UMA as their academic destination.

Mission and Objectives

The mission of the International Relations Office is to enhance UMA’s internationalization efforts by:

Establishing and maintaining academic cooperation agreements with universities and research institutions abroad.
Supporting student and staff exchange programs under bilateral agreements, Erasmus+, and other international frameworks.
Providing comprehensive services for international students, from admission and visa support to orientation and integration into campus life.
Coordinating joint research projects, conferences, and workshops with global partners.
Promoting UMA’s academic programs internationally to attract highly motivated students and researchers.
Encouraging intercultural dialogue and fostering a diverse, inclusive academic environment.
Representing UMA at international forums, conferences, and academic exhibitions.

Services for International Students and Scholars

The International Relations Office provides:

Admission and Consular Affairs: Assistance with application procedures, documentation, and visa processing.
Orientation Programs: Helping students adapt to academic, cultural, and social life in Ardabil and at UMA.
Accommodation Support: Guidance on student housing, both on and off campus.
Language and Cultural Programs: Persian language courses and cultural activities to support integration.
Advisory Services: Ongoing support regarding academic matters, health insurance, and personal development.
