Admission Policies

Admission Policies

Foreign students are welcomed to UMA to continue their studies. Currently, the following regulations are in effect:

1. Candidates are required to submit an application form, supported by the necessary documents (educational and health documents, recommendation letters from the school where they previously studied, and evidence supporting the ability to cope with living expenses during the period of study in Iran) to the UMA's International Relations Office.

2. The documents will be assessed by UMA and the MSRT and the applicants will be notified of the result .

3. As the language of instruction in Iranian universities is Persian, the foreign students are required to have a satisfactory command of Persian language. In the meantime, MSRT organizes an Intensive Persian Language Course for foreign students who are speakers of other languages.

Undergraduate majors offered to foreign students are as follows:

A. Associate programs (2 years)

The degree is granted by the university after completion of a 2-year full time study. Applicants should have a secondary school certificate accepted by the ministry of education of their own country with a relevant major.

B. Bachelor programs (4 years)

An award that normally requires at least four but not more than six years of full-time college work. Also sometimes in some fields it may take 3 years. Applicants should have completed 12 years of study prior to commencing these programs.
