Polymer Laboratory
The Polymer Laboratory is dedicated to the synthesis, characterization, and processing of polymeric materials used in industrial and research applications. Students and researchers investigate polymerization mechanisms, molecular structure–property relationships, and formulation optimization for various polymer systems, including thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers, and composites. The laboratory is equipped with facilities for experimental techniques such as rheometry, thermal analysis (DSC and TGA), spectroscopy, and mechanical testing. Research activities focus on developing advanced materials such as smart polymers, biodegradable plastics, nanocomposites, and coatings. Emphasis is placed on linking polymer chemistry and engineering principles to achieve sustainable and high-performance materials suited for modern technological applications.
