Chemical engineering department of University of Mohaghegh Ardabili was established in 1994 by a BSc program. The educational programs of the chemical engineering department are BSc, MSc and PhD of chemical engineering. Separation processes, process design and nanotechnology are the MSc programs offered by the department. Chemical engineering department has 12 faculty members including 3 professors, 4 associate professors and 5 assistant professors.  
Chemical engineering department provides excellent research facilities for graduate students. Polymer, water and wastewater, oil and petrochemical, nanotechnology, separation processes and Food and biotechnology labs are the research laboratories of department. In addition, the central lab of university provides high-tech analytical equipment for advanced research programs.
