UMA journals secure higher ranks in the latest ISC report
Dr. Jabraeil Razmjou, the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology at UMA, announced that in the latest rankings report of scientific journals by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) published in December 2024, 5 scientific journals of the university obtained Q1 ranking among the national and international journals for the 1st time. The journals include Psychology of School and Educational Institutions, Learning Disabilities, Journal of Family Relations Studies, and Journal of Research in Psychopathology. Furthermore, the Journal of Operation and Automation in Power Engineering maintained its Q1 rank for the 8th consecutive year. He further revealed that in the recent ISC report for 2023, the Journal of Hyperstructures obtained Q3 rank for the 1st time, and the Journal of Finsler Geometry and its Applications secured Q2 rank in its 1st ever assessment in ISC. He made it clear that the UMA journals can appear in the ISC different rankings due to regular publication and standard peer review process. According to him, the Water and Soil Management Modeling and also the Applied Educational Leadership journals were indexed in the ISC for the 1st time. A total of 4 university journals entered the ISC rankings for the 1st time and obtained plausible quartiles. Furthermore, the Journal of Advanced Sport Technology has maintained its position in Q2 ranking for the 3rd consecutive years. He congratulated the UMA academic community and thanked the journals staff and contributors for the valuable achievements.
