UMA ranked 3 in Iran and 207 in the world Green metric ranking
The chancellor of the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili said: The University ranked 3 in Iran and 207 in the world, in the ranking of Green Metric universities in the world, 2020.
He added: "In this ranking system, which is announced annually in December to the world's universities based on six different indicators, including the existing infrastructure in order to create a suitable environment, attention to optimal energy consumption and climate change, the amount of waste recycling, Water consumption and recycling, the use of pollution-free transportation systems, as well as education and research in the field of environmental protection are evaluated as the main indicators.
He continued: University of Mohaghegh Ardabili has achieved about 41% progress in obtaining Green Metric points compared to last year, which confirms the progress in all indicators that in the index of creating existing infrastructure in order to create a suitable environment, has gained the first rank in the country which is about 93% progress in comparison to the last year. And in the consumption management indicator and water recycling about 78%, waste management about 46%, pollution management without pollution about 35%, energy consumption management about 27% and education and research indicator about 4% progress.
It should be noted that the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili has a better ranking than the other universities including Tehran, Arak, Bu Ali Sina Hamadan, Shiraz, Amirkabir, Sanati Sharif, Yazd and Tabriz.
