This laboratory supports the academic activities of students in the Department of Rangeland and Watershed Management at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. The Rangeland Science Laboratory is equipped with a wide range of instruments required for teaching and research, including various quadrats (plots used to measure vegetation cover in rangelands), digital balances, rotary wheels, transects, posters, and identification keys for rangeland plant species. In addition, the laboratory is equipped with tools for sediment particle-size analysis and sieves with different mesh sizes, a multimeter, SPAD chlorophyll meter, photosynthesis meter, pH meter, EC meter, soil hydrometers, a laboratory fume hood, Erlenmeyer flask shakers, laboratory heaters, various Petri dishes, laboratory glassware, and other related equipment.
Furthermore, the Flora of Iran and seeds of various rangeland plant species are available in the laboratory for courses on cultivation and propagation of rangeland plants, rangeland plant identification, seed technology, and rangeland improvement and development. Educational and audiovisual facilities are also provided in the laboratory.
