Educational System
In view of the diversity and multiplicity of fields in the higher educational system and in order to establish a general interconnection between different levels of education, the university, as a graduate and postgraduate School, awards B.Sc., M.Sc., and Doctorate degrees .
Our graduate students have the opportunity to work closely with faculty across university’s other faculty and to conduct research in connection with numerous campus research institutes and centers. Beyond the traditional departments & degree programs, we also promote interdisciplinary research through dual and joint degree programs and numerous certificate programs.
Faculty of Basic Science
The Faculty of Science was founded in 1993 with only 34 students studying at graduate level. This faculty by changing to the Faculty of Science is one of the most developed faculties in the University in its own field, which offers graduate & post graduate programs aiming to develop modern research skills for its students.
At the present, this faculty with 34 faculty members 7 associate professors, 24 assistant professors, and 3 lecturers has activity in the following Departments:
-Department of Physics
-Department of Biology
-Department of Chemistry
There are currently 1232 students enrolled in programs offered by the faculty and 289 students graduated in the 2010-11 academic year.
The faculty continues its activity with its modern & equipped laboratories. Audio-visual methods are used alongside oral representations and laboratory applications in lectures carried out in fully –equipped classes and laboratories. Assessment is mainly undertaken by exams and class works.
Graduates of the Faculty of Basic Science have various employment opportunities depending on their fields of specialization, working as teachers in secondary educational, as public officials in related fields, or as research assistants’ universities.

Faculty of Agriculture
The Faculty was founded in 1998 with only 30 students studying at graduate level. The main objectives of the faculty is to provide a qualified, well-balanced educational service for both graduate and postgraduate students in 38 fields , receive educational ranging from basic principles of agricultural engineering to the application of basic agricultural science. The programs offered in the faculty are designed to develop the capabilities of the students and to conduct research in the fields of Agriculture and to disseminate the results of the research throughout the region.
At the present, this faculty with 64 faculty members 1 professor, 7 associate professors, 45 assistant professors, and 11 lecturers has activity in the following Departments:

The faculty of Agriculture offers its graduates a variety of career opportunities, ranging from Agricultural Engineering to specialists in public or private institutions.
Faculty of Engineering
The Faculty of Engineering was founded in 1999 with only 30 students at the undergraduate and graduate level.
At present this faculty is one of the most expanded and well-equipped faculties within the university, its aim is to train engineers with enhanced and optimized engineering skills of today’s modern engineering world. The faculty is rich in various modern laboratories and computer facilities and is equipped with the latest technologies.
There are currently 2364 students graduate enrolled in programs offered by the faculty and it had 276 graduates in the 2010-11 academic year.
In addition to courses, there are coursework and written assessments, practical work and research which are conducted in modern laboratories and a wide range of research facilities. The curricula of the faculty are continuously upgraded in order to keep up with modern engineering technology.
Since the faculty has been continuously expanding in both quantity and quality terms, this faculty at the present with 45 faculty members consists of 4 associate professors, 27 assistant professors, and 14 lecturers has activity in the following Departments:

Faculty of Humanities in Ardabil
The Faculty of Persian Language & Humanities with an enrollment of 30 students started its activity in 1978. In 2003 by a changing name to the Faculty of Humanities with 41 faculty members 1 professor, 5 associate professors, and 29 assistant professors and 6 lecturers in 43 fields and a total 1864 including students have created a vibrant ambience in the following 9 Departments:
