This laboratory is used to carry out educational activities for undergraduate students of the Water Engineering Department. The experimental devices are used as follows:
Consolidation gauge
for measuring the settlement potential of saturated clay soil
Direct shear
to determine soil shear strength parameters in both drained and undrained conditions
Triaxial shearing
With this device, in addition to soil shear strength parameters, soil compressive strength can also be measured under conditions that are almost identical and equivalent to natural conditions, and based on that, the bearing capacity of the foundations can be obtained.
