Faculty of Engineering
Founded in 1990, the Faculty of Engineering started its academic activities with only 30 students to provide training primarily in civil engineering at the undergraduate level.
The mission of our faculty is to instruct, educate, develop, and monitor students in order to achieve the required competencies and skills for a successful engineering when the work as practitioner in different fields of study.
At present, this faculty is one of the most expanded and a well-equipped faculty within the university and its aim is to train engineers with enhanced and optimized engineering skills of today’s modern engineering world. The faculty is rich in various modern laboratories and computer facilities and is equipped with the latest technologies.
In addition to courses, there are coursework and written assessments, practical work, and research which are conducted in modern laboratories and a wide range of research facilities.
The faculty now has 62 faculty members consisting of 3 full professor, 17 associate professors, 35 assistant professors, and 7 lecturers who work in the following departments:

Graduates of this faculty enjoy a wide range of job and entrepreneurship opportunities in all phases of industrial, civil, and mechanical engineering in private or public institutions within their related areas of specialization.
There are currently 2673 students enrolled in the programs offered by the faculty and 584 students are graduated in the 2015-16 academic year.
