The Faculty was founded in 1979 with only 30 students studying at undergraduate level. The main objective of the faculty is to provide a qualified, well-balanced educational service for both undergraduate and postgraduate students in 61 fields. The faculty members have been involved in carrying out agricultural research projects in a wide range of related fields. Much of these basic and applied research projects have been vital in improving scientific knowledge of people involved in training farmers and students in the region. In fact, the programs offered in the faculty are designed to develop the capabilities of the students and to conduct research in a variety of fields to be directly applied in the agriculture sector of the region.
At present, this faculty has 86 faculty members including 10 full professor, 38 associate professors, 36 assistant professors, and 2 lecturers who work in the following departments:
