Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources

The Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources is the oldest academic unit and founding core of the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili. Originally established in 1978 as the "Faculty of Agriculture" with an inaugural cohort of 30 General Agriculture students, the faculty has grown into a comprehensive center of education, research, and development in agricultural and environmental sciences. The faculty is dedicated to training skilled graduates and addressing critical challenges in the agricultural sector through advanced research and collaboration with public and private institutions. The faculty offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in disciplines such as: Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Agricultural Biotechnology, Plant Protection, Animal Science, Water Management, Agricultural Mechanization, Biosystems Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Environmental Management. To support its mission, the faculty is equipped with extensive, modern facilities, including: 45 specialized research laboratories, Two computer labs and IT classrooms, An educational and research farm, An active poultry unit, A dairy processing plant, Research greenhouses, An agricultural machinery workshop.
As a pioneering institution, the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources continues to lead the way in scientific innovation and human resource development for Iran's agriculture and natural resources sectors.
