The Department of Mining Engineering is a foundational academic group within the Faculty of Engineering at University of Mohaghegh Ardabili (UMA) in Ardabil city. At the undergraduate level, the department offers a comprehensive curriculum in mining engineering, which combines specialized courses in exploration, extraction, rock mechanics, and mineral processing. The master's program, with a specialization in mineral exploration, will begin accepting students in October 2025. History
The Department of Mining Engineering was established in the spring of 2023 within the Faculty of Engineering at UMA. The first bachelor's degree students was admitted in October 2020. The department currently has four full-time faculty members who are engaged in teaching and research across various specializations and courses, all within a strong and organized educational framework. The master's program, with a specialization in mineral exploration, is set to accept its first students in October 2025.
