The Faculty of Science of Mohaghegh Ardabili University began its educational activities in the academic year 72-73 by accepting 34 students in the field of physics. In the academic year 73-74, this faculty increased its number of students to 103 by accepting 31 students in the field of biology, and in the academic year 75-74 by accepting 32 students in the field of pure mathematical physics, and created and created a suitable basis for its correspondence to obtain a license for official activity to the educational departments of mathematics, 6 and biology to the educational departments of mathematics 6 and biology in the academic year 75-74, which will be carried out in 2017 as the university's head. The Faculty of Science was issued by the Supreme Council of Higher Education.

The process of expanding the fields, different levels of education, educational-research space, number of students, scientific-administrative staff, and facilities and equipment of the faculty continued rapidly, so that the Faculty of Science now has an area of more than ten thousand square meters, more than 38 educational and research laboratories, 29 classrooms, two computer centers, three student study halls, and two amphitheaters, and pursues its educational and research activities with a total of more than 2,247 students at various undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in the form of 4 educational departments of chemistry, physics, biology, and geology with 50 faculty members and 23 employees. It is hoped that with the great efforts of the faculty and university officials, solid and long steps will be taken in the advancement and excellence of the goals of the faculty and will bear fruit.
