introduction
The Faculty Group of Physical Geography of University of Moḥaghegh Ardabili, as one of the active groups within the Faculty of Social Sciences, was established with the aim of responding to the country’s scientific and professional needs in the areas of: climate change, geomorphic & climatic hazards, agricultural climatology, satellite climatology, geomorphological studies, and the application of remote sensing in environmental sciences. The members of the faculty in this group consist of Dr. Behrooz Sobhani at the rank of Professor, Dr. Mousa Abedini at the rank of Professor, Dr. Aghil Maddi at the rank of Professor, Dr. Boromand Salahi at the rank of Professor, Dr. Fariba Sfandyari at the rank of Professor, Dr. Batool Zinali at the rank of Professor, Dr. Sayyad Asghari at the rank of Professor, and Dr. Hasan Khavarian at the rank of Assistant Professor, each of whom works in specialized fields such as climate change, geomorphology, synoptic climatology, agricultural climatology, geomorphic & climatic hazards, and satellite climatology.
