The congress on “Mysticism in Hafez and Yunus Emre’s works” held in Near East University

The congress on “Mysticism in Hafez and Yunus Emre’s works” jointly organized by the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili and Near East University was held in Near East University, Cyprus, on April 7-8, 2016. The congress was attended by 5 delegates from the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili and several delegates from Turkish and Cyprus universities. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Narimani, the vice-chancellor of research & technology and Associate Prof. Dr. Reza Abdi, the Head of International Relations Office, also attended as members of the executive board.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Narimani, the acting chancellor and the vice-chancellor of research and technology of the university, made it clear that the congress is held as the first step in putting the MOU into action. The presentations investigated mystical views of the two prominent figures from several perspectives which created a highly influential ambience among the scholars and the audience.

Prof. Dr. Golkarian, the faculty member of the Near East University and the director of the congress also mentioned that according to the agreement between the two universities, the next congress entitled  “Mevlana and his role in the formation of common literature” will be held in 2018 on similar dates in the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili.
